the life of a recluse

Henry David Thoreau, is famous for his works. Such as "Autumnal tints", and "The Succession of Forest Trees". He withdrew from society by going out to the woods, living deliberately. He wanted to see if he could not learn what it had to teach, and not when he came to die, discover that he had not lived. Henry was similar to McCandless, becasause he wanted to learn from the land. get away from it all. Just go and live like life should be without the all the things that come from the earth. Cook over an open flame, and not on a stove.he had lived during the time of 1817 and 1862. there was not much going on in the society during this time, just the Civil Disobedience and the walden years. "Be true to your work, your word, and your friend." Henry David Thoureau.

Hook

Every mile a memory. Every step I take is one more memory for me. Just one more thing I have to remember about today is how many steps I took and how far I had to go to get there. Every where I look I have something new pop in to my head something that looks different. Others that look the same. As I'm driving up to Straton to go climb the mountain with the truck my employer provided me. By the time I get up to the top everything has changed some blades are getting ready for air, some towers are getting hooked to the crane. There are trucks coming up the mountain side with a few blades in the trailer, I can hear the roar of the diesel engine wind up, drop back to idle and wind back up. He finely made it to the top. Two blades to be unloaded and hung. By the day's end everything clam's down no more for today. Back tomorrow for another day of hanging unloading and packing up.

The Places I'm Going

After high school, I can see myself working right along side with my brother. He is working on the Kibby windmill projects, in Straton,ME. He tells me that it is a long drive up but it's so worth it. After they have finished putting up the wind mills, they will be moving on to others mountains in many different areas. After I have finished working on the mountains, I plan to build my own garage somewhere in the franklin county or maybe some other county that I have not been to.

doughnut-hole country

I've read the article dough-nut hole country. After reading it I think that I would be a stayer because, there is nothing out there in the world for good jobs. For be being a stayer I would raise a family and get a good job. I would probaly work in constuction, hopefully beside my brother on the wind towers. After seeing what my brother has gone through with his family I dont know if i wil still have a family or not. I would like to have one, ith a good paying job so I can support my family, but the only way that going to happen is for me to travel away from home. Not being there when something happens. That would be hard for me. My farther has done construction but he quit because he was away from his family months at a time. He couldn't handle it, one day he came home looked at my mother and said I'm not going back. So after seeing what my father and brother has gone through I really don't know if I would like it but I won't know untill after I have done it. I'm going to try somtime after high school but I dont know when.
